We wanted a dependable pool service and we definitely got it with Hamilton Pools! Luke was my initial contact. I was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge of the pool business. Nathan has been here every week as promised and is keeping our pool in beautiful shape. Sydne in the office has been very helpful and quick with a response to my questions. Luke & his team are professional, reliable and skilled in pool equipment repair and maintenance. Our pool/spa and equipment had extensive damage from the 2021 ice storm and Luke was on-top of ordering parts for repairs & taking care of what he could so we didn’t have further damage. Luke followed through with completion of the project over the extended period that the pool parts came-in (shortage due to storm) - we didn’t have to keep calling or asking about status. Hamilton pools is responsive to requests and I really like that we have the same technician here every week versus past experiences with new people coming and going from our backyard due to employee changes (we have had the same tech for 3 years with Hamilton pools ). Hamilton pools sends us an email of services performed and a picture of our pool with each weekly service. Summary of perks with this company 1) the owner is active in the operations of the company, 2) the team members are skilled and knowledgeable about pool equipment and water treatment, 3) they are ultra dependable about showing up at scheduled time and the same time every week.

  1. The water level is too low
  2. There’s debris blocking the skimmer baskets

  2. There’s a faulty check valve
  3. There’s a faulty actuator
  4. There is a structural leak
  1. There’s a faulty actuator valve
  2. The temperature sensor is damaged
  3. The pump speed settings are off

**Note – The difference between a good and bad water level can be a 2” to 3” difference**

  1. A good rule of thumb is that the water level should be at the halfway up the tile line
  2. The water level should be directly below the overflow drain, which is always located in the tile line
  1. The correct turnover rate for Summer is 2:1.

    1. With the proper square foot filter & proper pump compatible with the size of pool, the run time should be 10-12 hours. This must be ran during the heat of the day!
    2. For a larger pool with an undersized pump &/or filters, it would need to run 12-16 hours a day to achieve the desired turnover rate of 1:1. Again, this must be done during the heat of the day.

**Note – This is CRUCIAL for water chemistry to get dialed in!!**

During the Winter, for an average (8,000 to 15,000 gallons) the ideal turnover rate should be 1.5:1, so it should run 6-8 hours.
**Note – During the Winter, the filter can be run at night to save on electricity. Changes are, the freeze guard is coming on anyway, so this could potentially be doubling up on your electricity bill.

1. There could be an improper chemical imbalance.

2. There could be poor circulation.

3. The impellor may be clogged

  1. The filter needs maintenance (a cleaning or backwash)
    2. The skimmer baskets may be clogged.
